Position Summary

Entrada is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative and innovative Research associate specializing in oligonucleotide therapeutics, including but not limited to antisense oligonucleotides and small interfering ribonucleic acids. The candidate will work with a world-class, multidisciplinary team of drug discovery scientists on applying Entrada’s cutting-edge drug delivery platform to develop oligonucleotide-based pipelines for treating some of the most challenging diseases. Specifically, the candidate will work together with scientists to design, prepare and characterize oligonucleotide constructs, and carry out analytical assays for functional validation both in vitro and in vivo. The candidate will contribute to reports and scientific publications as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process and analyze samples from in vitro and in vivo studies (e.g. RNA/protein extraction, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting, confocal microscopy)
  • Prepare and QC oligonucleotides-peptide conjugates for in vitro and in vivo study
  • Culture and maintain cell lines for in vitro study
  • Develop and execute cell-based assays for validating biological activity of oligonucleotides-peptide conjugates in vitro
  • Prepare SOPs and other reports/documents for assay development and validation
  • Contribute to patents, reports, and publications

Qualifications

Education Requirements

Bachelor or Master in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with 2-year lab experience

Skills and Experiences

  • Hands-on biochemistry experience, such as RT-PCR, qPCR, ELISA, fluorescence microscopy and Western blotting
  • Hands-on experience in oligonucleotides, such as antisense oligonucleotides and siRNAs
  • Hands-on experience in cell culture
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary team with strong communication skills
