Senior / Research Associate, Oligonucleotide Chemistry

The perfect fit:
You should be a self-motivated and highly collaborative research associate looking forward to rolling up your sleeves, as you’ll be involved in aspects of our oligonucleotide chemistry group. Your background should be in chemistry, with a significant amount experience with synthesis and analysis of oligonucleotides. You’ll work side-by-side with others in your group to help develop innovative medicines for treating some of the most challenging diseases.
In this role you will be responsible for the operation and routine maintenance of multiple instruments like HPLC, LCMS, and our oligonucleotide synthesizer. You will have the opportunity to utilize this equipment for purification, characterization and purity determination of prepared compounds and developing analytical methods and purification methods of oligonucleotides. There will be other more standard components to the role like managing chemical inventory, ordering chemical and supplies, as well as preparing procedures and other reports. There will also be other stretch opportunities like presenting data and research findings at internal meetings.

To thrive on our team, you will need to come with:
- Your BS/MS in organic chemistry or similar will have you ready to perform at your best with us as you come with experience in organic synthesis, oligonucleotide chemistry, analytical chemistry of oligonucleotides and hands on experience with oligonucleotide synthesizers
- We hope you have experience with chromatography techniques LC-MS, ion exchange and RP-HPLC but by no means is this mandatory
- Have you worked in an industry setting before? Great, but again isn’t a must have, we just hope you are able to multi-task well to meet our research and development goals
- You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with multiple disciplinaries
- Don’t forget about the opportunity to present internally, you should be an excellent communicator, both written and verbally
